 The type of personal information we collect 

We currently collect and process the following information:

  • Personal identifiers, contacts and characteristics (for example, name and contact details)

  • Project information 

  • Supplier information, product details and portfolio documents 

  •  ‘Online identifiers’ includes IP addresses and cookie identifiers which recognise your location and computer. 

How we get the personal information and why we have it

Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you in person, via email, telephone, or instagram direct messages, for one of the following reasons:

  • For the reason of working on a project with us

We also receive personal information indirectly, from the following sources in the following scenarios:

  • Your IP address is provided by cookies on your computer. 

  • If you have watched an Instagram story from our account, we will know your username. 

We use the information that you have given us in order to work on projects with you and improve our services 

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are: 

(a) Your consent. You are able to remove your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting hello@kcostudios.com 

(b) We have a contractual obligation. 

How we store your personal information 

Cookies

When you access our website we will have placed some cookies on your computer, in order to be able to display the page to you. If you continue to use our site, additional cookies will be placed for the site functionality to work. We keep cookies for typically 90 days depending on the cookie type.

Contact details 

We also keep client names, contact details and email addresses of all current and past clients along with key project information. We also store the names, contact details and creative and product portfolios of our suppliers, subcontractors and members of the Collective. This information is kept electronically on a secure password protected on cloud storage facility. We do not share this information with third parties.  In some cases it may be necessary to share key project information for the functioning of the project with selected suppliers or contractors, in these cases we seek direct permission first in writing. If you would like us to dispose of your information once the project has completed, please contact us in writing and we will remove your details from our database. 


Your data protection rights

Under data protection law, you have rights including:

Your right of access - You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information. 
Your right to rectification - You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete. 
Your right to erasure - You have the right to ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances. 
Your right to restriction of processing - You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances. 
Your right to object to processing - You have the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.
Your right to data portability - You have the right to ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
