A Bold New Riverside Destination

The regeneration of the Greenwich Peninsula represents one of the most ambitious urban projects in London with 10,000 new homes on track to be built, creating a new prime cultural living destination.

It was essential to create unique homes where new homeowners could pick an apartment that resonated with their own style and lifestyle, and to differentiate from the market competition. Conran were appointed to design the interiors of 2 riverside towers and consequently gave each building a distinct style identity. Below are the interiors of the Waterman Tower.

K+CO STUDIOS’ creative director, Katrina, worked as part of the core team to bring this project to realisation.

First Impressions

‘‘A stylish first impression awaits visitors to the double-height lobby, where blackened metal sheeting and a modern brass chandelier speak cutting-edge design. Into the apartments, the glamour continues in marble, brass and stone. The chevron oak parquet flooring offsets bold accents of colour…”

We worked with textile designer Beatrice Larkin to bring a graphic but soft touch to the marketing apartments

Graphic + Contemporary

This tall monochrome tower on the river was given distinctive contemporary interiors to complement the architecture. This included 102 private and 123 affordable homes, stunning penthouse apartments and contemporary communal amenity spaces, including communal workspaces and a private screening room. Bold contrasting graphic tones were used throughout, utilising materials such as brass and blackened steel that subtly referenced the industrial history of the peninsula. This was punctuated with striking contemporary art and furniture pieces all in strong block colours — creating daring elegant spaces.
